Alnes lighthouse
The small village of Alnes, Alnes lighthouse and the lighthouse keeper's residence are well worth a visit. Enjoy storytelling, art and local food accompanied by the season's fascinating and changing impact on the ocean. If you enter the lighthouse, you will be awarded a beautiful art exhibition made by the famous Norwegian artist Ørnulf Opdahl on your way up.

There are more than 1500 meters of tree-and-post climbing courses.
The courses are divided into four different difficulty levels and are suitable for all ages. Make your way to Valldal Aktivitetspark for an active experience for the whole family!

Walking the fields at Rekkedal is an experience in itself. The owners are the 20th generations to live there, and they are happy to share their story.

Fugleøya Runde
At the start of the Norwegian Ocean we find the island of Runde, which is known for its bustling bird life, of which the puffins are probably the most famous.
Runde is one of many islands in «Sørøyane» southwest of Ålesund. It is the southernmost bird mountain in Norway, and the largest bird island south of the Arctic Circle.
